Watching Paint Dry

So the plan yesterday was to visit a wood finishing supplier that had been recommended to us by our decorator, to discuss possibilities for staining or varnishing the banister on our stairs. In the event we didn't have time so we called in there this morning. They were very helpful. We're still not sure what to do but the guy is going to call in on his way home one day next week to have a look at what might be required. He is also going to give us some advice on how to renovate part of our oak kitchen worktop which I managed to destroy with Cillit Bang a while back.

I liked the display of paint and brushes on the wall there. The guy said if we come back next week they will be a bit further down the wall :-)

In other news we caught mouse#36 in the garage this morning. That's 234 days since the last one.
