After yesterday’s walk (4.5 miles according to my phone) my feet seized up and I felt that I was walking like a penguin all evening. Today I wanted something level and drove to the centre of Grasmere. Instead of heading to the Daffodil Garden or riverside path I walked along to the main road as the light looked good on the fells to the north.
