Dressing up
I booked an appointment to visit a bridal shop that also does Mother of the bride/groom outfits. The place was in Basingstoke and I suggested to the girls that we visit Winchester first as I wanted to look at some dresses in Hobbs.
Before Lucy and I left we found out the A3 was still closed after overnight roadworks had ran over. Honestly, this week my journeys have been affected in one way or another. Grrrrr! So a longer journey was had to pick up Bex.
Once in Winchester we headed straight to Hobbs. Unfortunately, the dresses I liked they didn’t have in my size so I tried on another just to see how it fitted and was seriously delighted to realise I have dropped a dress size to a 12. Woohoo! I decided to try the 2 dresses in a 10 just to see how they looked and was ecstatic to be able to do the zip up on this white one.
After lunch and a quick wander we headed to Basingstoke. The shop was on an industrial estate and we were early so stopped at a Starbucks for a drink.
We were allowed to try on as many dresses as I wanted but again some not in my size. The green one was in a size 10 again. This made my day more than anything :-D. We came home with nothing as the girls like the silk white one so I’ve ordered it in a 12 to see how it looks with probably pink shoes, hat and bag.
