Blondin’s wheelbarrow 1859

A visit to the V &A museum . This would be the item I wish I could take home ……what a talking point ????? I’d find room for it somewhere!!!
The great French tightrope walker Blondin (Francois Gravelet 1824 -97 ) first crossed Niagra falls on a tightrope in June 1858 . He made 8 further crossings that summer. He used various props including bicycles and wheelbarrows to wheel brave volunteers across!!!
He settled in London in his Ealing house he called Niagra !!
