(a bit tired now) Fingermaze
The Fingermaze is in the shape of a labyrinth and is based on a fingerprint with a Cretan maze pattern inserted into the central whorl. It comprises York stone set into lime mortar and is installed in Hove Park.
It was commissioned for 'Eco-Brighton', part of a two year cultural programme called 'Making a Difference' in Brighton & Hove. The artist was Chris Drury.
I am not sure if Chris intended it to be maintained in its original state or for it to be assimilated into the landscape. If the latter, the effect is not particularly attractive and it's looking a bit tired now.
