The adventure begins

An early start today to catch a plane to Oslo and then a rush to just make the internal flight on to Evenes.  No wonder I struggled to get all my equipment together in my suitcase everyone else had much larger suitcases.  We arrive late afternoon and met up with the tour guides.  Apparently the group last week had terrible weather ie rain and wind with lovely aurora this morning but had no time to stop as they were on a long journey to the airport.  It looks more promising this week as there has been some snow and the skies are clearing.  Fingers crossed it lasts a few days.

We stopped for a well deserved pizza on the way back to the hotel in Leknes where we are staying for a few nights.
