51/365 Wai-o-Tapu

One of many thermal pools to be seen at the wonderland which is Wai-o-Tapu, on the road from Rotorua to Taupo.

So much to see there, such as rising steam and sulphur gases from underground chambers, brightly coloured lakes, shorelines, and rock formations. The Lady Knox geyser, boiling mud plopping upwards, white silica deposits, and so much more. Truly awesome.

We finally arrived in Taupo after stopping off in Reporoa to see our friends daughter’s house whilst having a cup of tea. We’re meeting them again this evening down by Lake Taupo.
