Home is where the heart is...

I have acquired many hearts which hang around my home; they always make me smile and sometimes I stop and think about where or who they came from. They are all special.
Today has been a day of two halves. My poor mum has been suffering very excruciating toothache since Friday and it has taken until today to get it sorted. She has hardly eaten or slept in those three days and I've been desperate to get her help. Finally this morning at 7am she set off with my cousin by taxi, for an appointment at Guys hospital in London where they extracted the tooth. She finally got home at about 2pm. This morning I was concerned about how it would go and praying they would remove the tooth to give her relief. When I got the message that it was all over and she was safely home I felt life had returned back to normality. I spoke to her this evening. She had slept for 2 hours this afternoon and was feeling mostly pain free, just sore and a slight ache. I'm hoping she will sleep well tonight and slowly her mouth will feel much better.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow as a more relaxed day; spending a couple of hours in the morning at the village shop followed by my sewing group in the afternoon, which will be a very social meet with friends doing some sort of craft, in fact many different activities will probably be going on. There of course will be tea and biscuits too!
Grateful:
For the hospital staff giving mum the relief she so needed
For my friends who kept me going through a long morning
For no rain today
