Finlake
After and exhausting journey of about four and a half miles al the way through Kingsteignton we arrived at our holiday home at Finlake. A lovely timber lodge in extensive woodland shining brilliant green with the new foliage. After getting unpacked and having a cup of tea we wandered through the trees to the lodge where Lady Marian's sister and her husband had arrived from Northumberland. We threw together a simple supper of scrambled eggs, bacon and salady bits which went down quite well then left them to relax and recuperate and returned to our place.
There was still some light so I grabbed my camera and went to explore the fishing lake getting there just as the sun dipped down.
Marian's brother will be arriving tomorrow and it might be Tuesday before her other sister and the French contingent arrive. Various members of the younger generation will also be arriving over the next few days. It's not a bad place to spend the week and it'll take no time at all to pop back home for anything we might have forgotten.
Hope your weekend's progressing well.
David
