His life's work ?
A poor day weatherwise for Glossop Car Show in Manor Park Today. The car show was just one of the events in the park today the other was meeting of Glossop's Good Dogs Group covered by my friend Bill in his blip which looks as though it was great fun.
A poignant one from me today just after I took this photo I realised there was a notice in the window of the car - "In loving memory of Ernest Harry Hirst 'Harry' 3rd August 1932 - 3rd May 2013
I spoke to his daughter and she told me that her father's funeral had only been yesterday and that a procession of at least 10 Morris Minors drove past. It obviously meant a lot to have got her father's cars to the show with the help of other local Morris enthusiasts.
I'm not sure if it was really his life's work as I titled this but it was obviously a big part of it as he was also responsible for the next car in the line and had a third at a local garage.
