A break in the clouds……

…….. in the north-east. The ultramarine mountains in the distance are part of the Richmond Range.
It was raining when Maisie and I set out on our walk. I wore “Red Band” gumboots and good storm gear.
We had a mainly cloudy day. Rain coming up from the lower South Island may be welcome here in Blenheim but bad news for the large areas of Cyclone-affected lands, homes,communities, farm and orchards. Heavy rains are predicted over the next two or three days. Unfortunately most is expected to fall in the worst affected areas.
