Caisteal Dubh
I was taken by the sheep grazing in grounds of the ruins of Caisteal Dubh (Black Castle) near Moulin on my walk back form u3a History Group. The Castle was deliberating burnt down in 1500s in a bid to stop the plague from spreading. We'd been discussing modern day equivalents, namely the introduction of mass vaccination programmes which provoked some interesting discussion.
After lunch I headed into town to meet fellow blipper Nadinepierce who was stopping to charge her car before heading further north. It took a a couple of goes to get charging point to work but once plugged in we enjoyed a coffee and chat at the Dam Visitor's Centre followed by a browse in the three charity shops on the high street. It was lovely to catch up.
