Still feels like Spring

Of course this weather wont last, it's still February but it has been lovely. 

A mild sunny day. We walked along Channelside before the Tesco shop which was necessary .

Channel side isnt far away but it took us a while to get there because the main road down from home was blocked with police vans and fire engines  and flashing lights. I had to take a circuitous route along side roads, along with plenty of other cars. 
It turned out that a suspected bomb was found in the land they are levelling in preparation  to start the new Marina 'village' . This wasnt too surprising as Barrow was bombarded during the 2nd world war and the area in question has been derelict since then. As it was it turned out not to be a bomb. Let's hope they check the rest of the area carefully just in case.

Blip is of the tall thin cranes which have been there for a couple of years as they build an extension to the Devonshire Dock building.  It has taken such a long time to build I am quite fascinated by it .
