Teal

I felt a bit sorry and guilty at Slimbridge WWT this afternoon as the couple next to me were bemoaning the flight of the white rumped sandpiper. They were oblivious of the jinx I have and hands up yes it was me. I had rocked up an hour earlier only to be told that the bird had flown. Hell it's been there days but ...I could almost put money on it, if I turned up .... 

A male teal looked good paddling along. Not a star species but I liked the shot better than the snow goose and the Mediterranean gull skulling in the Extras
