Hornets

Yvonne and Dave say they are unpleasant critters and will sting, so I did not get too close. Looks like they are making a communal 'nest' on a leaf of one of the iris flowers in the garden.
Saw a few birds in the garden this morning during my walkabout.
Weather unpredictable. It has rained and shone today, got very cold but now just humid and dull.
Lazy afternoon - going to watch the T20 finals as SA made it though; I'd expected the English ladies to beat SA but they did not quite do it.
