Clematis
The seed head of the clematis Tangutica is just one of many growing beside June's gate. I don't often walk by her garden but when I have a canine lodger we pass it regularly on our first and last walks of the day. The swirling, feathery seed heads remind me of my hair before I brush it in the morning.
The extra is a clematis Cirrhosa, which has cream flowers freckled with reddish-brown spots, flowers in the winter.
