You can see for miles . . .
I ventured up Beaminster Down this afternoon to find some scenery. As I drove along the top I could see the sea in the distance shining in a patch of sunlight so I found a place to stop – depicted in the map display.
And I could see for miles. I realised after I downloaded my photos later that there is land visible in the distance, land which must be the other side of Lyme Bay, towards Torquay and Paignton. Of course the haze of the distance needed a bit of adjustment once I had the computer running, but then conversion to monochrome was just too tempting.
