A beach walk

Despite the low cloud denying many, including us, the sight of the Aurora borealis last night on the east coast of Scotland we still enjoyed the bracing sea air and the long familiar beach walks.

Despite changeable visibility and a stiff north easterly breeze we saw an interesting range of birds including redshank, curlew, oystercatcher, heron and shell fishing crows.

We kept walking to keep warm. We gathered some interesting shells. We watched the waves increase in strength. We were lost in admiration for those Blippers who now swim in these waters on a regular basis! Each to their own!

The capital city of Scotland is our destination tomorrow. Our first return there together since our pandemic induced flit in July 2021!
