Great Langdale

Today we did our annual duty as marshalls for the Brathay Windermere Marathon which our daughter is involved with organising. As well as a regular marathon, it's also the final day of the 'Ten in Ten' where 15 intrepid runners ran 10 marathons over 10 days. This is not an easy course either, it's very hilly.

After the race we headed up to Blea Tarn but the weather was disappointingly dull and a wind meant there were no reflections. However, a brief break in the clouds allowed me to shoot this picture of the Langdale valley looking up towards Dungeon Ghyll.
