Bluebells again!

After waiting in for the electrician this morning we decided to go to Rannerdale to see the bluebells that are reported to be among the best on record.

Guess who we met there? John Gravett and 10 guests from LPH were also enjoying the spectacle. After we left them, Jane and I continued up the valley and went over the top of Rannerdale Knotts and back down to the lake. On our way back through Rannerdale we bumped into the LPH crowd again and spent a bit more time nattering.

I really think it's difficult to do these bluebells justice in a photo. The actual experience is so impressive.

It's been a beautiful hot sunny day but after we got back to Keswick some of those clouds you can see in this picture gave us a spectacular thunderstorm
