Katmai Air

It is another beautiful morning on Lake Hood. I had lots of time to stroll around with coffee, camera, and dog.

Katmai Air is an air taxi service that transports people and supplies to fishing and tourist locations mostly north and west of Anchorage.

The ice is mostly out and the float planes are beginning to show up in the water. There is still a skim of ice in some places, so the float planes are not launching yet from the lake. It will happen in a couple of days.

Katmai is both a mountain and a National Park. Katmai National Park can only be reached by air and boat, no roads in or out.
