We went over to the optometrist in Nettleham at lunchtime as B had an appointment, I drove my little car in case he required drops and was unable to drive home. He got the all clear, no changes since the last visit.
We took the opportunity to go to the Hub for coffee and delicious cake. This is the place with the library that I donated the Peter May books in January. I wasn’t sure if they would make it to the shelves as it is a Lincolnshire County Library staffed by volunteers and I wasn’t sure of their policies on donations.
I had a look round, it is well organised, and quickly found some of the books on the shelf. Good to see that it is annotated Donated 2/23. Not all 15 were there, so I’m going to assume that someone has taken 1 or more out to read. Job done !!!!
I called into the Coop to post a package and to get a few items. I was amazed to see that the prices of the first 3 items were about 50p each dearer than at Tesco’s (£2.50 compared to £2) and their bananas were very ripe!! As we were heading home past Tesco’s later I skipped buying the groceries from there. It’s certainly much more expensive shopping in a village than in town!!!
