ISN'T SPRING HERE YET?

Although "true" Spring isn't until the 20th of March @ 4:24 pm local time (the Vernal Equinox), meteorological Spring starts TODAY!

Yesterday, this branch on my Norway Spruce (Picea abies) was touching the ground from all the ice hanging on it. The temperature warmed, somewhat, the sun shone and warmed it enough to melt the ice (thus the icicle hanging off the gutter in yesterday's Blip) so that it moved back to its original position.  Then Mother Nature decided to send in some clouds and colder temperatures and, as if the ice weren't enough for one day, she decided, over night, that we needed more snow. So this is what the spruce looked like this morning.

I don't object to the snow this week as we have Winter Autocross at the track this Saturday. But starting Sunday, I'm officially opposed to more snow. I am ready for Spring. The motorcycle is aching to get started and get out for a ride. So let it be written.....so let it be done!
