On the viaduct
An early breakfast at our hotel in the centre of Leeds, and off to Holmfirth for another look round the bungalow. Suspicion confirmed that we'll need to 'downsize' quite a lot! Need to work out exactly which pieces of furniture we can't take!
Afterwards a wander around the town for a while, and MrM ventured in to a gents' outfitters for a couple of items of clothing that he'd forgotten to pack. How much?!!! Unless we win the lottery, he'll avoid that particular establishment in future. Coffee and cake were necessary to recover from the shock!
Next stop was Elland for an appointment with the solicitor. Everything seems to be progressing nicely. We just need a buyer for the flat. Business over with, MrM drove us up to Richmond via a very scenic route. Today's Blip was to have been a shot of Pen-y-ghent (extra), until we approached the Ribblehead Viaduct, and MrM pointed out that a train was about to go across. The great mass of Whernside dominates the background.
After settling in to our B&B in Richmond we walked in to town for a meal, and then spent an hour or so at a very nice gin bar, though neither of us drank gin. Back to the B&B through light drizzle.
