Progress ???

Another stately, unique old home on a large piece of wooded property has fallen to progress; ie the home, free-standing 2-story garage (also a unique structure!), and sev’l downed trees making way for 5 new homes and a Drive-thru for Dunkin Donuts which sits on its corner. It’s not a common architectural design; not to me anyway. Basically a one-story, broad square structure with attic dormers, the home also features a wide, wrap-around front porch with a stunning grouping of columns, and sturdy, attractive stone foundation.
Look closely and you can see the string of holiday icicle lights (a more modern addition). So what happened to the family? And why was the home left to fall into shambles and disrepair ?
Sad, sigh.
