Lenten Fish Fry

Today was a family day. It was cold and rainy but still a fun day for us. I made Lauren’s favorite meal first thing. She took Ilsa for her first pediatric visit so we vacuumed, did laundry and other chores until she got back home. We had baby girl clothes and baby linens to drop off as well. Isla had just finished lunch when we arrived. She was awake and happy. Grammy and Granddad held her and cuddled with River during most of the visit. We left after a few hours and searched for our kitties’ food, found a few cans but only one variety. Then it was time to pick up my mother and meet my sister, BIL and cousin for dinner at Momma’s parish hall. The food was tasty and the company was just as nice. The bad weather seemed to affect the number of diners and bingo players who arrived as we were finishing our meal. Hope they covered expenses since it was a school fund raiser. We haven’t been out with our mother lately since she has had various illnesses. So glad she is well again. Hope you have fun plans for your weekend. Thanks for dropping by.
