Cones

After coffee and a walk with Nellie, Oscar and I went foraging for cones! I use them to light my wood burner and with a cold spell coming in I needed to replenish my stock! Now if anyone could identify the tree from which they come I would be most grateful! I'm thinking Douglas Fir?!
As you can see it was a beautifully sunny day - Nellie and I sat in my back yard to have our coffee and chat - there wasn't a cloud in the sky! We walked to hers along the woodland paths with the daffodils in full bloom! It was so mild and the incoming cold spell is going to be a bit of a shock!
