Eye in the forest

Took Max for a walk through Kissock Forest earlier. We were 'watched' by the eye in one of the tree stumps left standing :) 
There has been some extensive tree felling taking place recently and with much of the Sitka Spruce gone the area looks so different. I wonder how they will be replanting the area. I hope it will be more mixed rather than monoculture.
Anyway, Max had a great run and we got back to the car before the rain came down.
