A walk above Hawes

Dales part six

A friend from home came and joined us for the day, sadly his wife didn't join us as one of their friends is really poorly and has been moved to Castle hill, her place was very much by her friend's side today.
We enjoyed a lovely -rain free- walk up from the back of Hawes then back down to town for a pint of OP and lunch, well for the blokes yes, but for me, NO, Ceaser salad with chicken was a bowl of 8 little gem lettuce leaves smothered in what may be loosely named ceaser dressing with some dried out chicken and a handful of very nasty mass produced croutons -wouldn't even feed them to the dags! Took it back to the kitchen and got refund. We then took our friend to experience the delights of the Victoria at Worton, not quite sure what he thought.
I was hoping for a sunset to search for tonight but the dark clouds and heavy showers seem to have put paid to that.
Cosy night in instead.
