Four Generations

En-route back to Cumbria via Portsmouth to see this grave.  Once I'd tracked down where it was, Mr P was naturally disappointed to find out the the grave of his 3 x Great Grandparents, Samuel and Mary and fallen over, broken and been removed.  The cemetery office told him the plot could now be re-used but if not if there was a grave in place .  Mr P commissioned a new stone and took the opportunity to add a memorial to his grandparents who were cremated but have no memorial. We have no idea what happened to the ashes.   The grave behind contains his 2 x great grandparents (Samuel and Eliza)  so its good to see them together even if they are facing in opposite directions. 
No cultural charging visits on the way back. Stop 1 at MacDonalds at J15  on the M40, at least there was food and toilets.. Stop 2 was at the Lancaster park and ride J34 on the M6 - no facilities at all.
