Some of the Daughters

Son R has appeared for a break in the Lakes.  Ticking off stone circles in Cumbria, I dragged  Mr P and R off to visit Long Meg and her Daughters , the largest stone circle in the county.  The circle of daughters is about 100m across. Long Meg herself is standing off to one side where she was organising her daughters when a wizard turned them all into stone or some other such legend. 
 In extras is a collage showing  Mr P and R examining circles carved into Long Meg. It also shows a nearby folly of caves carved into the rock next to the River Eden in the 18C by Colonel Lacy 's stone masons so that he could hold dinner parties .
