The annual floating event

How many people does it take to put the grey float together? Well it's the annual yearly event with the same (almost) players as a year ago yesterday (who arrived today) Drag the rowing float down the beach at the end of the bay where it winters over, put the 3 pieces together, (kind of like tinker toys) and wait for the tide to float it off so we can drag it to our dock (in the distance.) We didn't plan on doing the whole thing today --we just launched the little tin boat from the boathouse, but our neighbor E (second from left) came down to help and spurred us on to do it now. And then she had us over to sit in the sun for drinks and goodies in this first really summery day that began at about noon. K is making dinner in the Tall house (yea!!!) Later we'll go get the float... As the sun sets, maybe..... A fine day! Many wildlife pix today but this had to be recorded...the wildlife will wait.
