Sheep May Safely Graze
Whenever I see the sheep around here peacefully grazing, I think of Bach's aria. This was looking down from the castle ramparts at our neighbour, Rodrigo's land, with the beautiful holm oak. These sheep often graze on our Land - which is just behind the tree; the stone wall is ours.
Absolutely gorgeous morning; the washing dried by lunchtime. But then, when we decided to drive to Monsaraz to see the full moon rise, the rain came down and we could hardly see Monsaraz, let alone the moon. Happy to have every drop, though.
Gratefuls:
- being assigned a postcode (which will hopefully work)
- picking wild asparagus, hot peppers, and various herbs to augment our lunch (the cupboard was getting rather bare), and managing to make pasta puttanesca from jars and tins, which we ate outside in the sunshine
- going shopping!
