Played As It’s Meant To Be

There was a time when grassroots rugby players turned up on the day, had a smoke and a can of beer, changed, played the match, changed, drank a lot of beer and ate a bad meal.
There are still some these days that do it the old way, they might train more but they play with a smile on their faces, with spirit, endeavour and huge enjoyment.
Deservedly the Falmouth II’s, The One & All, look as though they will be League Champions, unbeaten, always a pleasure to watch, great characters and they use the club.
Old style post match enjoyment by a collection of players who actively support the club by transferring a proportion of their income to the club via the bar!!
It was a cold day but we were entertained and enjoyed the teams “three cheers for our supporters”.
Might look to switch sponsorship to one of the 2nd XV next year.

Home alone in the evening, bit too cold for my liking and I have an algae filled tropical tank to sort out in the coming week. I can still see the fish - just.

Todays photo, spectators and the substitutes pitch-side in the cold.
