Bleak Street

The weather today was in stark contrast to yesterday’s. It was sleeting as I took this photograph, and you would think only one person (apart from me) was here. To my left however was an eatery, and that looked full and lively. So not as bleak as it looks here.

The view is along Eccleston Street, Prescot. There are an astonishing number of barbers shops in the town centre. The shops in the centre are largely independents, nothing fancy, but a good range. Not everywhere has a bakers and butchers these days. The nearby retail park where I had parked has the bigger stores, so the two are complementary.

I took food (and accessories) in for a meal today as J is not enjoying the hospital food and the early timing of meals. But I forgot one item - thus my visit to the retail park on a late sleety afternoon. I stayed late and eat with J. I think she enjoyed it. I did.
