A Snowy Breakfast.....

....it just had to happen, didn't it. After several hours yesterday the snow stuck, and then decided this morning that we hadn't had enough here! So this photo was taken when it was heavily snowing, and when the Blackbird hidden in this bush seemed very reluctant to get snowed on....although it did eventually 'go for it'! :-)

Even the Sparrows seemed to be very quick in getting a bite to eat, and then retreating to the shelter of the trees and bushes!

It stopped after an hour, and caused some chaos in this area (some 17 incidents - The Police urged people to only go out if necessary) Some schools shut, others didn't, and a Sainsburys store cancelled its home deliveries due to 'extreme weather'.

Thankfully, the snow is now melting and its raining. I must say, even if the snow does make for pretty photos, I much prefer the rain any day.
