Poison Arrow

A sneaky backstage shot from tonight’s Blackadder rehearsal. We should have had the night off after last night’s dress rehearsal, but it was felt that the technical team needed more time to get their cues right. The good news - for most of us - was that costumes were not required. Those who had multiple costumes to contend with though, had to wear them to ensure there was enough time to complete the changes.
We actually had a great deal of fun as we weren’t running complete scenes - a vast variety of accents and ad lib lines were heard throughout the evening, usually followed by corpsing on stage and laughter in the wings. It kind of made up for having to be in the theatre tonight instead of resting at home.
Despite the dire warnings of snow there really hasn’t been much more than a sleety drizzle all day. Not enough to stop me going to the gym, or getting to the theatre tonight, though it was a bit grim heading down the M6 at 6 o’clock. Hopefully it won’t be any worse heading home.
More importantly, I hope the snow all clears off before tomorrow night when we do it all for real…
