Ice In The Sun
We awoke this morning to a thick covering of snow over everything. By the time I got up and went outside to take the first picture, there were already signs of a thaw. And only a few hours later - as you can see - we have bright sunshine and no evidence that it even snowed at all.
This is, of course, good news from the point of view of getting to the theatre in good time tonight. I think we’re pretty much good to go and the presence of an audience should help lift things and combat any first night nerves.
This morning has been mainly spent booking hotels in respect of a little jaunt we’ve got planned around Yorkshire in May. We have a couple of concerts and a trip to Whitby planned, so rather than do them as separate day trips, we thought we’d spend a couple of nights away from home to cut down on the driving and make it more of a holiday.
Just trying to decide now whether or not to extend the “holiday” by heading towards London the week afterwards. Nothing specific in mind, but we haven’t been to the theatre for a while, so wouldn’t mind a night out in the West End. Don’t need to decide right away, so will give it a bit more thought over the weekend.
