New snow

New snow is the stuff the snow blower actually likes. But why is it that when you get the contraption going the wind seems to pick up and swing round every now and then just to catch you out and throw the snow in your face?

Now we have a snake path up the lawn to the house. This is not just an visual affectation, but a safety feature as it ensure that you have edges to step on when you are sliding down it or staggering back up with heavy shopping. Otherwise it just becomes an icy toboggan run.
