Scrub Jay

This morning I went to a local nature center known for its abundant hummingbirds. Much to my dismay the center is closed on Mondays, and the hummer feeders were not out. I thought I could hear the familiar buzz of a broad-tailed hummer high in the trees but did not actually see any.
But on my way out, I took a different trail and came upon this pretty sight.
And as you can see, the trees are finally starting to leaf out!
