Snow birds.
As you can see we still have plenty of snow.
It was very icy first thing after very low night temperatures. However the sun was out and it soon started thawing. Still plenty of snow where we live, and yet a few miles away, in Spen Valley there was hardly any left.
The wood pigeons soon ate all the food I put out for the ground feeding birds, and the primula flowers were beginning to show again in the window boxes. Isn’t nature wonderful. Those delicate petals have hardly been damaged by a heavy covering of snow.
I think the temperature is going to reach 10C tomorrow so hopefully that may get rid of the rest of the snow.
In the meantime take care and stay safe.
