South!

Goodbye to Spofforth and a brief stop at Wetherby for a coffee, whereupon I discovered I’d lost my sunglasses. Prescription sunglasses. They were found in the hotel car park. Back we went.
Then on, south. The countryside got whiter, the snow got deeper, but the roads were all passable. Hello to the tiddlers who served us up lunch before we made a snowman and then crunched off for a walk. Bloody stupid not bringing my boots.
Later, to the Thornbridge brewery taproom at Bakewell for some tremendous beers (obvs) and pizza. Sadly it closed early to allow staff to get home because of the weather. Otherwise I’d still be there.
