Tulips
We found some jugs yesterday, so decided to treat ourselves to some flowers whilst out shopping. It's the first time I've bought flowers in over 6 months (since we moved out of our house in Norfolk).
It's been raining and blowing a hoolie all day, so a good day for stopping in. First thing we had a visit from the electrician who will fit solar panels and a battery. We first met him back in January 2022. He's quite a character, and a lovely bloke. He looked at one of the room thermostats that had been looking odd, and was able to tell us that it is broken, but is a standard design, and will be easy to replace.
We then tackled a bit of admin, including getting a refuse collection contract, before emptying all the rest of the boxes of kitchen stuff. Nearly everything has a home, though I suspect that much will be moved once we've lived in the kitchen for a while.
Then, after a break and some lunch, we tackled a few more boxes in the dining room.
By this time, W had had enough. To add to his shoulder woes, he's developed a head cold over the last 24hrs. I did a bit of sorting in the room which will be my sewing room, and probably where my desk will be. Not quite reached a point where I can get out the sewing machine, but looking promising.
This evening, the wind has dropped, the sun came out (see extra) and we have some lovely red skies.
