Bleeding Heart.....
Rubbish day. Work was tough, meeting was tough. It's wearing me down all this crap we get from the department of health and the media. The gross innaccuracies spouted. I see a lot of young GP's in training planning to leave the NHS and work abroad due to the increasingly ridiculous demands placed on us, and that is without the student loans of £50-60,000 they are saddled with if their parents are not able to pay their fees for them. Incidentally, if they work abroad the student loans do not get paid back so a double whammy for the UK.
I came home close to tears and felt more despondant than I can remember. Emailed a pensions adviser and wondered how many of us are doing the same.
I came close to blipping a bag of rubbish as it matched my mood - but then saw these lovely bleeding heart flowers. Sitting in the garden listening to the incredible bird song I could feel the stress levels calming down. A glass of red and a dreadful sci fi film later and I am feeling more human. Maybe even enough to face another shit day in paradise.
Oh, and if you view it in large you can see an image of the garden upside down in the small drop. How cool is that :-)
