Grey Heron

Wasn't sure what to expect this morning after yesterday. I left a bit earlier in the hope of missing the bulk of the dog walkers. As I entered the park I saw the flashing lights of the maintenance lorries loaded up with bags of chips for the playpark. I got closer to the loch and noticed 4 heron flying over and landing at the edge of the water. There was a fair bit of space between them so I was able to feed them without them getting upset with each other. I turned round to throw som biscuits for the crows who were gathering behind me and I noticed a 5th heron standing waiting. I got them all fed then headed for home. I guess the drop in temperature made a free feed more tempting.
This is the adult male!.
