Woo hoo …

… we got the house!

We’ve been busy today getting things done relating to our move and also our trip. MrMacD cleared out the storage unit where we’d been storing some stuff while the apartment was on the market, and I started decluttering. We weren’t expecting an acceptance (or otherwise) of our offer for the house in Oamaru until tomorrow then, unexpectedly, we received a call from the agent at 4:30pm to say that our offer had been accepted.  Oh my goodness, the excitement!  We almost couldn’t believe it.  Texts were sent to family and friends, then my daughter texted to ask if we were home, followed by (after receiving the answer) “we’re on our way”.  They turned up with a bottle of Tattinger because they’re really excited for us.  How absolutely wonderful!
