The Ides

A trip through to Glasgow. Staying over too! Some place in Brunswick St which we’d never used before. But first, a call in at the GOMA, as one must. Correct? Correct! Elizabeth Price: SLOW DANS, a video installation thing was showing. Apparently she won the Turner in 2012. Sheesh. Anyway it was pretty captivating - ok, I liked the sounds.
Out to Babbity’s where a music sesh was in full flow, then Nonna for an eat and on to Barrowlands for Father John Misty. The hipster crooner has cut his hair! Or more probably employed someone else to cut it. Oh he was in good voice; and two encores! And just when it could get no better he launched himself into the crowd. Those wild Rock’n’Roll cats!
