In the Clink
An early morning walk in misty rain before a trip over to Mum to take her out for lunch. I’d booked in at HMP Style and the Clink Restaurant - the restaurant is housed in an old chapel and is staffed by prison inmates.
They were all brilliant, serving in the restaurant and preparing food in the kitchens and working towards gaining their City & Guilds qualifications in Food & Beverage Service, Professional Cookery, Barista Skills and Food Hygiene. The food was incredible. Fantastic initiative.
After dropping Mum off I detoured back past the airport on my way home & stopped off to see an old school friend who has had a cancer of the liver diagnoses.
