Snow Still on the Hills, More Snow to Come

A fairly calm day, but a lot of rain, dull and overcast too.  Calm this evening, light drizzle.

Popped by Laura's on my way to work, usual chitchat and a cuppa.  Shaun is making good progress.  Late shift in the airport again.  I was working on the check-in desk in the morning, then mostly meeting and boarding flights in the afternoon and evening.  All flights in and out on time.  Walkies with Sammy, now usual feet up.

With the rain today, it's fairly thawing out the snow, the deepest of snow might take a bit longer.  Knowing Shetland weather well, we might easily skip spring, stay in winter until summer hopefully arrives.  There is an old saying, but I can't quite remember it all, but the basics are "snow still lying on the hill, is a sign of more snow to come". Hopefully this won't be true, I am done with winter now.  Taken at Yurall, Blett Road, Cunningsburgh.
