Jeannie Lees

Today we went to Jeannie’s funeral in Croydon. My parents (Jim and Freda) and Jeannie and Gordon got married on the same day in the same year but they only met several years later when Freda and Jeannie were buying wedding anniversary cards in the newsagent in Selsdon and got chatting.

The couples soon became firm friends, brought up children at the same time and holidayed together. We have so many happy childhood memories of holidays with the Lees boys.

Here are Graham and Stuart Lees with us Humble girls. In our turn we now have 11 children between us! Jeannie loved her friends and her family very much - she was the person that brought us all together and made us feel special, we will miss her a great deal. RIP Jeannie you wonderful woman. Xxxxx
